摘要: This chapter introduces biological sequence analysis. Sequences arise in research because of the polymeric nature major macromolecules, nucleic acids, and proteins. The fundamental processes molecular biology involves capturing human genetic code long molecules DNA, which are packaged cell nucleus chromosomes. DNA is composed a chain subunits—the nucleotides adenine, guanine, cytosine, thymine (abbreviated A, G, C, T respectively). usually found form two paired chains, held together by hydrogen bonds between complementary pairs nucleotides. A on one strand always with other, similarly for G C. Most important structural functional components proteins, long, folded chains 20 common amino or peptides.
