摘要: A common definition of the term ‘bycatch’ is that part gross catch which captured incidentally to species towards there directed effort. Under such a definition, are few fisheries in Australia (nor world) do not have bycatch, making scope, diversity and history issue enormous. In recent years, majority interest bycatch has focused on demersal trawl because conventional otter trawls comparatively non-selective fishing gears so large quantities wide range untargeted species.
