摘要: To anticipate other people’s behavioral intentions and respond to them at the right moment is crucial for efficient social interaction. In present study, we thus investigated how adults synchronize with emotional facial expressions. The participants had their taps a rhythmical sequence of faces then continue tapping same rhythm without faces. Three inter-stimulus intervals (500, 700, 900 ms) six different expressions (disgust, neutrality, sadness, joy, anger, fear) were tested. synchronization phase, no difference was observed between expressions, suggesting that tap in synchrony external rhythms presence stimuli whatever characteristics. However, continuation an emotion effect emerged, individual being faster fear and, lesser extent, anger than motor also longer more variable disgusted These findings suggest internal clock mechanism underlying timing accelerated response high-arousal emotions anger.
