Synthesis, Antioxidant and Antitumor Evaluation of Fused and Binary Heterocycles Incorporating Pyridine Ring System

摘要: The key precursor 2-((dimethylamino)methylene)-3-oxo-N-(pyridin-2- yl)butanamide (2) was synthesized and subjected to react with cyanomethylbenzothiazole, cyanomethylbenzimidazole, 3-oxo-3-phenylpropanenitrile (9), guanidine (12), ethyl cyanoacetate (15a), 2-cyanoacetamide (15b), phenyl hydrazine 2-aminoprop-1-ene- 1,1,3-tricarbonitrile (19) afford fused binary heterocycles 5, 8, 11, 14, 17a, 17b, 18 22, respectively. On the other hand, pyridinone 23 obtained upon reaction of anilide 1 enamine 2 in ethanol reacted 2-benzylidenemalononitrile hydrate give pyran pyrazolopyridine derivatives 25 26, newly compounds were characterized by elemental analyses spectral data (IR, H NMR mass spectra). screened for their ABTS antioxidant antitumor activities using Vitamin C 5-fluorouracil as drug references, results revealed that tested compound 5 showed highest activity compared rest exhibited moderate low activities.
