摘要: ABSTRACT Bone morphogenetic protein 15 (BMP15) is a multifunctional oocyte-specific secreted factor. It controls female fertility and follicular development in both species-specific dosage-sensitive manners. Previous studies found that BMP15 played critical role on ovulation rate of mono-ovulatory mammalian species, but has minimal impact poly-ovulatory mice. However, whether this true non-rodent species need to be validated. To investigate question, we generated knockdown pig model. We gilts showed markedly reduced accompanied with phenotype dysplastic ovaries containing significantly declined number follicles, increased abnormal abnormally enlarged antral follicles resulting disordered ovulation. Molecular transcriptome analysis revealed suppressed cell proliferation, differentiation, Fshr expression, leading premature luteinization estradiol production GCs, simultaneously decreased the quality meiotic maturation oocyte. Our results provide vivo evidences for essential porcine ovarian development, new insight into complicated regulatory function species.
