New silicides for new niobium protective coatings

摘要: Efforts to improve at high temperature the oxidation resistance of pure niobium or commercial alloys have led development a pack cementation process for co-deposition Si, Ti, Cr and Fe. Owing knowledge quaternary Nb(Ti)-T-Cr-Siphase diagrams (T5Fe Co Ni) crystallographic features phases present in silicide coatings, new protective coatings been applied on Cb752 alloy. The results study three silicides isostructural with Nb Fe CrSi , which is substituted by Ti Ni are reported. performances two 33 6 mainly consisting such also outlined. © 1998 Elsevier Science S.A.
