A two-stage approach for task and resource management in multimedia cloud environment

摘要: In recent years, multimedia cloud computing is becoming a promising technology that can effectively process services and provide quality of service (QoS) provisioning for applications from anywhere, at any time on device lower costs. However, there are two major challenges exist in this emerging paradigm: one task management, which maps tasks to virtual machines, the other resource machines (VMs) physical servers. study, we aim providing an efficient solution jointly addresses these challenges. particular, queuing based approach management heuristic algorithm proposed. By adopting allocation deadline each VM request, both manager allocator receive better chances optimize cost while satisfying constraints service. Various simulations were conducted validate efficiency proposed approaches. The results showed solutions provided performance as compared existing state-of-the-art
