摘要: Most flaviviruses are arthropod-borne viruses, transmitted by either ticks or mosquitoes, and cause morbidity mortality worldwide. They endemic in many countries have recently emerged new regions, such as the Zika virus (ZIKV) South-and Central America, West Nile (WNV) North Yellow fever (YFV) Brazil African countries, highlighting need for preparedness. Currently, there no antiviral drugs available to treat flavivirus infections. We previously discovered a broad-spectrum compound, benzavir-2, with potent activity against both DNA- RNA-viruses. Our purpose was investigate inhibitory of benzavir-2 flaviviruses. used ZIKV ZsGreen-expressing vector, two lineages wild-type ZIKV, other medically important Benzavir-2 inhibited derived reporter gene expression an EC50 value 0.8 ± 0.1 µM. Furthermore, plaque formation, progeny production, viral RNA were strongly inhibited. In addition, 2.5 µM reduced infection vitro three five orders magnitude flaviviruses: WNV, YFV, tick-borne encephalitis virus, Japanese dengue virus. conclusion, inhibitor infection, which supported benzavir-2.
