摘要: Abstract As users of maps we are dependent upon their veracity and by extension the reliability data they contain. Several research projects have explored possible methods visually representing certainty, a kind metadata; considered include depicting metadata as map that is separate from map, imbedding into creating an interactive environment allowing simultaneous viewing both metadata. A practical consideration, develop for graphic depiction reliability, reaction to acceptance proposed user. This studied how containing graphically depicted information used. Potential “usability” cartographic display type user (novices versus experts, males females) use (assessment confidence in assessments, ability judge proportion areas within highly reliable data). study addressed these issues exploring analyzing subject responses its level reliability. The was found be accessible comprehensible all subjects; novice or expert, male female. Two combining information, composite static animation, were helpful subjects tested. other obtaining displaying only “toggling” between not efficient effective combination methods.
