摘要: Fumonisin B(1) (FB(1)) is a mycotoxin produced by the fungus Fusarium verticillioides, which commonly infects corn and other agricultural products. species can also be found in moisture-damaged buildings, and, therefore, exposure of humans to mycotoxins including FB(1) may take place. bears clear structural similarity cellular sphingolipids, this has been shown disturb metabolism sphingolipids inhibiting enzyme ceramide synthase leading accumulation sphinganine cells tissues. neurotoxic, hepatotoxic, nephrotoxic animals, it classified as possible carcinogen humans. The mechanisms behind FB(1)-induced toxicity include induction oxidative stress, apoptosis, cytotoxicity, well alterations cytokine expression. effects on different parameters vary markedly depending what types are studied or they originate from. These aspects important consider when evaluating toxic potential FB(1).
