摘要: The debate about possible adverse effects associated with low or lowered serum cholesterol has raised important scientific questions concerning the links between lipids and behaviour. One of most unexpected findings been an association cholesterol-lowering treatment accidental death. A similar also emerged among prospective cohort studies, higher-than-expected numbers suicide deaths in lowest groups. These observations have prompted speculation that behavioural emotional disturbances could be part process linking In this paper, epidemiological literature is reviewed briefly, then evidence for depression as a mediating condition discussed. Two conclusions are drawn from review literature. understanding relationship biology psychobiology mood demonstrably public health issue. second introduction new treatments preventive programmes should include careful evaluation psychological well physical effects.
