摘要: Abstract Ventilated corrugated paperboard (VCP) packages are used widely in the fruit industry cold chain and designed to reduce produce damage while still maintaining adequate air distribution needed ensure optimum heat transfer from air. The may experience mechanical failure due excessive compression load under such conditions, which lead bruising of packed fresh produce, particularly apple that susceptible during postharvest handling. objectives this study were investigate bruise susceptibility apples inside two ventilated (MK4 MK6). MK4 package design has higher length-to-height, longer trays vent area compared MK6 design. Results showed was affected significantly by Fruit more than design, with differences about 63% 43% volume, respectively. Irrespective placed towards bottom incurred lesser damage.
