摘要: The present study investigated the effect of Leuconostoc kimchii GJ2 (Leu. GJ2), an exopolysaccharide-producing lactic acid bacterium isolated from kimchi, on serum and liver lipid metabolism in rats fed a high-cholesterol diet. Male Sprague-Dawley were divided into four groups: normal diet group (ND), (HCD), 200 mg/kg Leu. GJ2-administered (HCD-LKL), 400 (HCD-LKH). No between-group differences found body weight gain, food intake, or efficiency ratio. GOT ALP activities that elevated by significantly decreased after administration. Serum HDL-cholesterol level was markedly increased groups, whereas total cholesterol LDL-cholesterol levels lower animals. Liver triglyceride also groups. In addition, HR-LPL TE-LPL adipose tissue, caused diet, fell to administration GJ2, dose-dependant manner. These results suggest kimchi exerts antiatherosclerotic reducing levels.
