摘要: The catalyzing forces behind risky sexual behavior are a rich area of interest for public health researchers concerned with reducing HIV risk. Social cognitive theory would suggest that beliefs viable example one such influential agent. Recognizing culture plays an important role in forming beliefs, and seeking to understand the unique risks present Latino men who have sex (MSM), this article presents exploratory factor analysis 13-item Sexual Beliefs Scale (LSBS) created as part larger study investigate predictors condom use among sample 482 MSM born Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic living U.S. current identified two psychometric factors LSBS Romantic Exigency (containing six items mean loading .62) Acquiescence seven .57).
