摘要: Research has demonstrated a high prevalence of language impairments (LI) and reading disabilities (RD) in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Since RD is also associated LI, it unclear whether the are specific to ADHD or comorbid RD. The abilities without were investigated task requiring recall lengthy narrative, tests assessing knowledge semantic aspects language. study was conducted 50 boys--14 ADHD, 14 + RD, 8 normal controls, aged 7 11. Children (ADHD-only, RD) exhibited difficulties organizing monitoring their story retelling. (RD-only, deficits receptive expressive on processing tests. group (ADHD both children. deficiencies consistent higher-order executive function while basic semantics processing.
