摘要: Abstract A new simplified approach to modelling cracks in beams undergoing transverse vibration is presented. The uses Euler–Bernoulli beam elements with small modifications the local flexibility vicinity of cracks. This crack model then used estimate locations and sizes, by minimizing difference between measured predicted natural frequencies via updating. uniqueness that allows location damage extent be estimated directly. may also generate training data for pattern recognition approaches health monitoring. proposed method has been illustrated using experimental on examples.
