摘要: Abstract The stir zone microstructures and mechanical properties of dissimilar AZ91/AZ31 friction spot welds made using different tool designs rotational speed settings are investigated. Intermingled AZ91 AZ31 lamellae formed in the zones threaded, three-flat/0.7 mm/threaded three-flat/no-thread tools speeds ranging from 1500 to 3000 rpm. intermingled have chemical compositions, which similar those upper lower sheets sandwich. flats on rotating facilitate downward transfer sheet materials location close pin periphery therefore produced a three-flat without thread. distance (Y) tip hook region keyhole has dominant influence welds, since regions curved inwards towards axis tool. highest failure load largest Y-values found threaded Dissimilar 1000 rpm smallest lowest properties.
