摘要: Abstract Planar extensional flows of a dilute polymer solution are investigated using free-draining bead-rod model. For steady flows, an analytic expression for the probability density configuration is available. It found that part associated stress unambiguously viscous at all time scales, in sense on cessation flow it disappears instantaneously, but, except very high rates, elastic component larger. A Brownian dynamics simulation chain constructed start-up which no known. apparently to develop alongside stress, having comparable magnitude moderate rates. An interpretation this result system wide spectrum relaxation times given. This feature not captured by conventional FENE constitutive equations, and novel model developed. The consequences calculations complex briefly discussed.
