摘要: The feasibility of a portable accelerometer equipped with three-directional sensor for the assessment physical activity and consequences energy expenditure was examined under laboratory conditions during normal daily life. Heart rate monitoring also conducted to allow comparison both techniques. In study 16 healthy subjects performed number specified exercises within range levels that may be expected in Accelerometer output compared measured by continuous respirometry. A linear relationship found between pooled data. standard error estimate is 79.1 J.min-1.kg-1. field four were observed week free living conditions. Energy calculated from food intake registered over whole period. heart exceeded figures 30% 33%, respectively. Possible explanations this discrepancy are discussed. Despite discrepancy, appeared correlate highly (r = 0.99, P less than 0.025), which suggests accurate performance method gave much poorer results estimating individual expenditure.
