摘要: We show that inflation with a quadratic potential occurs naturally in theories where an axionlike field mixes 4-form. Such axion is massive, the mass which arises from mixing being protected by shift symmetry. The 4-form backgrounds break this symmetry spontaneously and comprise minilandscape, their fluxes can change emission of membranes. Inflation begin when dominates energy density. Eventually, reduced membrane emission, roll slowly towards its minimum, as simplest version chaotic inflation.
