摘要: Background: The study was an attempt to evaluate the relationship between oral health status and level of glycemic control in type 1 diabetes patients. Methods: carried out 87 children with diabetes, aged 8–16 years, attending a specialty hospital. these patients measured using WHO 1997 Oral Health Survey criteria for diagnosis dental caries, gingival index, plaque index. Samples were then divided into two groups as controlled (≤6.99% glycosylated hemoglobin [HbA1c]) uncontrolled (≥7% HbA1c) per guidelines diabetics given by American Diabetes Association. compared. Results: Data statistically analyzed student t-test. Results showed significant difference decayed, missing, filled surface component (P = 0.043) index scores (P< 0.001) permanent dentition but not case primary dentition. Conclusions: data findings suggest that metabolic had impact on caries prevalence patients, As became poorer, inflammation increased. When taken consideration, correlation significant.
