Observation of Time-transient spectral narrowing at 309 nm in Ce3+ doped SrF2 crystal

摘要: Abstract We observed time-transient spectral narrowing at 309 nm from the 5d–4f transition in Ce 3+ ions doped into SrF 2 crystal. The transmission and excitation spectra vacuum ultra-violet (VUV) to visible were obtained for :SrF crystal was optically excited by a KrF laser with 20 ns pulse duration. Spectral detected using time-resolved spectroscopy. linewidth full-width-half-maximum peak narrowed ∼11 ( 1130 cm −1 ) ∼7 730 an optimized delay time of 30 (time between onset array detector). regained its full width when greater than 50 ns. use resonator cavity high reflectivity mirror quartz flat did not lead oscillation probably due state absorption ions.
