摘要: Mechanical ventilation is an alternative when patients have difficulties in cases with acute or chronic respiratory insufficiency. A teaching prototype for mechanical spontaneous and artificial health biotechnological courses provided. Materials methods: research was performed the Laboratory of Bio-morphology Experimental Pathology Universidade Severino Sombra, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Transparent polypropylene syringes, 50 60 ml, ethyl polyterephthalt container (PET, 250 ml), a needle, cork stopper, latex balloon, double lumen, silicon sealing, compressor, analogical manometer, drip, air exhalation value rubber tubes were employed. Results: lung represented analogy diaphragm function functioning which apparatus used ventilation. The eases visualization understanding physiological system. Conclusion: use recycled material as strategy provided viable easily available resource that low cost greatly applicable context nature characteristics material.
