摘要: Abstract We present new experimental data of the surface tension and density in binary mixtures ionic liquid (IL) family 1-alkyl-3-methyl imidazolium tetrafluoroborate with water ethanol. Measurements were performed at 25.0 °C atmospheric pressure, covering all range possible concentrations. From these we calculate deviations and, from data, molar volumes. observe that sets are ideal because corresponding excess volumes very small, similar to our uncertainties. Density for some aqueous studied here have been recently published, but discrepancies among authors great. In contrast number published papers ethanol is scarce. It also happens measurements both systems. Data analysis indicates IL bulk samples, level behaviour completely different. Thus, seems be composed mainly by ions down high diluted ones, so acts like a surfactant. Surface equally molecules. addition fractions higher than equimolar, alkyl chain length does not play any role mixture, being its value common three IL + ethanol studied.
