摘要: The Nordkapp Basin is a northeast-trending upper Paleozoic rift basin located in the western Barents Sea. presence of salt structures makes this interest for hydrocarbon exploration. Nevertheless, no commercial discoveries have been made so far, and remains poorly understood terms distribution reservoirs source rocks within its minibasins. In study, three-dimensional data set together with well small area southwestern subbasin has studied, main purpose obtaining better understanding kinematics minibasin infill, special focus on Triassic. infill subdivided into five second-order sequences, which mark regional events recorded Further subdivision third-order sequences Triassic response to local halokinetic movements basin. kinematics, minibasins affected by following: (1) late Permian–Early minor mobilization, (2) latest Early reactive diapirism, (3) Middle transition between reactive–passive (4) Triassic–Jurassic passive (5) Late Jurassic–Early Cretaceous gravity gliding, (6) Cenozoic contraction. rapid changes depositional environment observed 7228/7-1A, large variability seismic responses reflection terminations, provide evidence complex paleogeography controlled tectonics. differential loading underlying formed broad diapir-induced highs, might acted as sources sediment submarine debris flows fan deltas developed adjacent structures.
