Antioxidant action of Moringa oleifera Lam. (drumstick) against antitubercular drugs induced lipid peroxidation in rats.

摘要: The protective effect of Moringa oleifera Lam. (Moringaceae) on hepatic marker enzymes, lipid peroxidation, and antioxidants was investigated during antitubercular drug (isoniazid, rifampicin, pyrazinamide)-induced toxicity in rats. Enhanced enzymes peroxidation treatment accompanied by a significant decrease the levels vitamin C, reduced glutathione, superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase, S-transferase. Administration extract silymarin significantly decreased with simultaneous increase level antioxidants. We speculate that exerts its effects decreasing liver peroxides enhancing
