摘要: 1 Spatial variability in soil nitrogen and moisture levels was determined using a geostatistical analysis newly abandoned field, mid-late successional field second-growth forest south-western Michigan. 2 A greater proportion of the total variation for all variates associated with availability spatially dependent mid-successional field; had similar patterns spatial dependence these variates. 3 The distance (range) over which there than other two communities, indicating more coarsegrained pattern heterogeneity nitrogen, particularly surface soils (0-5 cm), sites. 4 Examination different lag intervals generally gave results; though nested N03-N midsuccessional detected at finer scale analysis, multiple scales. 5 results suggest that change time plant perhaps reflecting changes species composition or size individual plants communities.
