Factors influencing land title registration practice in Osun State, Nigeria

摘要: Purpose The registration of land titles is an important component title documentation and certification process that influenced by a variety factors. The purpose this paper is, therefore, to examine factors influencing practice in Osun State, Nigeria. Design/methodology/approach Data used for were collected from 520 applicants, representing 48.10 per cent the total number applicants title/property rights Southwestern Nigeria, using systematic random sampling technique, with interval k = 5. Data analyzed descriptive inferential statistical techniques, such as frequency distribution percentages, relative importance index (RII) factor analysis. Findings The findings revealed high cost corrupt practices registry staff had significant influence on process, while suitability organizational structure personnel competence/low morale less study area. Practical implications The suggest inadequacies inherent area which has implications titling entire Nigerian state other emerging African economies. Originality/value The one few papers perspective end-users economy like Nigeria.
