摘要: Among 1177 osteogenic sarcoma patients diagnosed and treated at Memorial Hospital, 65 (5.5%) were associated with either monostotic or polyostotic Paget's disease. The overall median age was 64 years (range, 39-82 years). In those older than 40 of age, the frequency sarcomatous transformation rose to 27%. There slightly more men (55%) women. most common skeletal sites pelvic bones (34%), humerus (22%), femur (19%), craniofacial (14%). Unrelenting pain tender swelling presenting symptoms (85%), pathologic fracture in 14 (22%) patients. two-thirds cases, radiographic presentation that a lytic destructive lesion; while others it showed sclerotic, mixed, permeative character. almost one-half histologic appearance sarcomas fibrohistocytomatous osteoblastic. spite radical surgical amputations, only three survived longer 5 years. prognosis is significantly less favorable arising de novo comparable age.
