摘要: The stand-structure of near natural, mixed broad-leaved forest stands in the eastern part Hainich Nationalpark was studied on four plots (a 0.64). main objective was to find out if actual species richness is a stable state or if beech will regain dominance future. We mapped all trees > 7cm plots, all seedlings and sapling on 40 sub-plots each plot determined specific amount dead wood. Further investigations focused canopy space partitioning neighbourhood interaction between beech, ash, hornbeam lime. Therefore canopy lift used get access uppermost parts tree crowns. In order get insight into stand history, dendroecological study carried out additionally. spatial distribution specific abundance saplings turned not be correlated with abundance conspecific adult trees, indicating very dynamic development. Concerning the neighbourhood-interaction canopy, there no species-specific reaction terms shoot length-reduction be found any pair. Nevertheless, a significant higher amount twig-abrasions for in neighbourhood ash. multiple regression analysis main factors influencing shoot-growth were determined. results lead to conclusion that mechanical interference neighbouring trees driving force space which has often been underestimated. tree-ring showed beech is most vulnerable towards summer droughts, whereas lime no correlation ring-width precipitation concerning vegetation-period. Beech, having highest mean increment throughout last 50 years, shows steady decline ring-width in two decades has excelled by ash since 1990. Under present conditions it seems likely will be able compete successfully are dominated by now. Hornbeam turns weakest competitor, having low rates increment hardly regeneration. If beech can maintain its partial depends mainly intensity droughts the future.
