摘要: Modulation of the immune response is key for prevention and therapy different pathologic conditions. In context infectious diseases or cancer, aim to activate enhance responses against agents tumor-associated antigens (TAAs). This has been traditionally accomplished through protein peptide vaccines administered in combination with adjuvants. Despite its many successes, as highlighted by eradication smallpox example, vaccination not yet proved effective treatment a wide variety other cases, such autoimmune allergic diseases, objective instead achieve immunosuppression, even induce tolerance towards auto innocuous xenoantigens. So far, most existing immunosuppressive strategies are palliative rather than curative lack specificity. Therefore, alternative immunization needed, especially chronic infections malignant where must be reactivated. Lentivector gene can offer an modulate responses.
