The benefit of simultaneous seven-filter imaging: 10 years of GROND observations

摘要: A variety of scientific results have been achieved over the last 10 years with GROND simultaneous 7-channel imager at 2.2m telescope Max-Planck Society ESO/La Silla. While designed primarily for rapid observations gamma-ray burst afterglows, combination imaging in Sloan g'r'i'z' and near-infrared JHK bands a medium-sized (2.2m) very flexible scheduling possibility has resulted an extensive use many other astrophysical research topics, from exoplanets accreting binaries to galaxies quasars.
