摘要: Since the mid-1970s, several studies have investigated feasibility of using acoustic emission (AE) to monitor integrity aircraft structural components during flight. These are completely catalogued in an annotated bibliography [1,2]. AE has advantage being capable monitoring large with a single sensor, is truly passive technique, and can be conveniently used hard-to-reach locations. Successful development this technique will offer tremendous savings by reducing need for major disassembly order inspect critical load-bearing components.
