History, Practices and Prospects for the PhD in Tourism

摘要: The central concern of this paper is an examination the degree entitled PhD (Doctor Philosophy). history qualification, criteria which candidates must meet to be awarded and a consideration generic skills are being developed underpin examined. More generally, argument made that close attention has been paid technical operational training service oriented personnel in hospitality. Yet education future industry leaders, including analysis doctorate tourism/hospitality, also deserves attention, especially world where strategic tourism hospitality decisions requiring more incisive analysis. It argued here PhD, with its growing emphasis on skills, potentially powerful qualification for leaders.
