摘要: Clinically relevant animal models of human cancer are important for studies biology, invasion and metastasis, investigating new forms prognostic diagnosis therapy. An ovarian tumor line (RMG-1: clear cell carcinoma the ovary) previously grown subcutaneously was implanted ortho-topically as intact tissue into capsule 22 nude mice. The tumors showed progressive growth at orthotopic site in all animals. Tumor-associated serum galactosyltransferase (GAT) tended to be posi-tive -mice. invaded or metastasized contralateral ovary, retroperitoneum, mesentery peritoneum, omentum, subcutaneous tissue, lymph nodes distant organs including liver, kidney, pancreas, diaphragm. In striking contrast, trans-plantation this resulted only 2 5 animals with local node kidney involve-ment but no retroperitoneal peritoneal involvement. These findings suggest that implantation provides a suitable micro-environment which can express its intrinsic clinically-relevant properties. This approach is clinical features thought useful model therapy cancer.© Kluwer Academic Publishers 1998
