摘要: Lanthanides, as alternative probes to conventional fluorophores, can lead enhanced sensitivity in applications where autofluorescence is a problem. Multiple labeling with lanthanide chelates have been shown be an effective method for further increases sensitivity. These probes, being nonisotopic, avoid the many practical problems associated radioactive probes. Lanthanide are particularly advantageous resonance energy transfer, whether measuring distances biocomplexes or when used generate new lifetime tailored dyes.
