摘要: Using a large college student sample (N = 1,095), the present study examined whether relationship between parental alcohol abuse and offspring use varied as function of parent gender, to non-substance-abusing mother or father buffered against risk associated with being an adult child alcoholic (ACOA). Among women, maternal ACOAs (i.e., only was suspected misuse) had greatest problematic consumption, whereas among men, both parents were consumption. No support found for buffering hypothesis. We discuss implications our findings future directions.
