摘要: We present a worldwide analysis of humid tropical forest dynamics and tree species richness. New mortality, recruitment, richness data include the most dynamic diverse mature forests known. Twenty-five sites show strong tendency for species-rich to be aseasonal. Mean annual mortality recruitment-turnover-is predictive factor richness, implying that small-scale disturbance helps regulate diversity. Turnover rates are also closely related amount basal area turnover in forests. Therefore contribution maintaining diversity may ultimately driven by ecosystem productivity.
