摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the current state of mycobacterial genetics and application these methods to both fast- slow-growing mycobacteria. The mycobacteria have been intensively studied for many years, particularly with regard their general physiology, pathogenicity, interactions host responses. However, genetic approaches employed only more recently, development techniques in has proven challenging. While factors contributed this, most notable are extremely slow growth rate, propensity cells grow as clumps, virulence organisms. over past ten years enormous strides made today there is a reasonably facile generally available system, bringing new hope prospects rapid diagnostic methods, effective vaccines novel treatments control tuberculosis.
