摘要: The objective of the present study was to formulate hydrodynamically balanced systems (HBSs) theophylline as single unit capsules. They were formulated by physical blending with hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, polyethylene oxide, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, ethyl liquid paraffin, and lactose in different ratios. These HBS capsules evaluated for weight uniformity, drug content vitro floating behavior release simulated gastric fluids (pH 1.2). All these containing floated well over 6 hours no lag time, also showed sustained fluid hours. from more addition modifiers (ethyl cellulose paraffin). pattern correlated first order model (F-1 F-5) Korsmeyer-Peppas (F-6 F-7) non-Fickian (anomalous) diffusion mechanism. experimental results clearly indicated that able remain buoyant juice longer period, which may improve oral bioavailability theophylline.
