摘要: Background— Catheter ablation of ganglionated plexi (GP) in the left atrium has been proposed different subgroup patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). Anatomic studies found a high prevalence GP posterior surface right (RA). Experimental data suggested potential role AF initiation and maintenance. The aim our study was to assess efficacy RA vagal AF. Methods Results— Thirty-four without structural heart diseases were randomly assigned for selective procedure targeted on elimination reflex evoked by frequency stimulation or an extensive approach at anatomic sites GP. All underwent Holter ECG rate variability evaluation baseline 3, 6, 12, 18 months follow-up. At mean follow-up 19.7±5.2 months, recurred 5 17 13 ( P =0.01). No patient had major complications. After ablation, parameters showed significant parasympathetic (and sympathetic) denervation first 6 which more prominent those recurrence. Conclusions— This demonstrates that selected population paroxysmal AF, GPs is effective about 70% patients. These results confirm can abolish as experimental clinical data.
