摘要: Abstract Diatoms usually undergo a decrease in size concomitant with cell division. Because the developmental and physiological faculties of diatoms are dependent on size, ability to manipulate would be valuable for experimental purposes. Although enlargement cells can obtained by auxospore formation, latter, as an essentially sexual process (in diploid organism), alters genetical make-up strain.
