摘要: This chapter reviews the almost 40-year Freiburg experience with patient-derived mouse models of cancer. More than 3,000 patient tumors all major types have been implanted in nude nice. Take rates varied tumor types, GI high and hormone-dependent low. Tumors became established after 2-3 passages high-grade having highest establishment rate. We correlated drug response donor found a very level concordance for both resistance sensitivity. However, time necessary to establish makes them more suitable determine 2nd line therapy rather first line. Among established, 240 were reproducible behavior, could be cryo-preserved recovered from liquid nitrogen storage at frequency extensively characterized regard sensitivity by genomic profiling. set has proven highly-useful cancer discovery evaluation laboratories around world resource without equal.
