摘要: The ICESat orbit has been determined using one of two BlackJack GPS receivers. accuracy the radial component validated ground-based Satellite Laser Ranging to an 1-2 cm, which exceeds pre-launch requirement 5 cm.. Other measures precision, such as “orbit overlaps,” yield better than 1 cm precision.. Although does not have stringent prediction requirements, 600 km altitude makes it a suitable object for experiments. As expected, atmospheric density variability is dominant, and significant, source error.
