摘要: Antioxidant enzymes (superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidases (GPX)) were studied in the gills and digestive gland of clams Ruditapes decussatus from different sites Ria Formosa (south coast Portugal) order to validate these as biomarkers metal exposure. Two other potential biomarkers, lipid peroxidation expressed malondialdehyde (MDA), metallothionein (MT) levels also measured. This study demonstrates that mitochondrial cytosolic SOD activity changed while CAT (cytosolic mitochondrial) was higher three affected by sources contamination. GPXs (total Se-dependent) inhibited A (directly influenced sewage industrial wastes) B harbor facilities). MT MDA two third site (C, main navigation channel exchange with Atlantic ocean). These results suggest GPX activities especially can be used for monitoring environmental pollution.
