摘要: The paper describes a rational method of analysis that emphasizes the fatigue characteristics structure rather than its static strength. A central concept in this is ‘Stress Severity Factor’, which an analytically defined quality number. stress severity factor supposed to express only as influenced by structural configuration—not effect material and level. The application requires detailed load distribution within structure, order establish transfer at every fatigue-critical fastener location. This determination flexibility data. Assuming linear elastic deflections, models suitable for computer have been developed arbitrary number plates joined same fastener. Experimental evaluation discussed, some results from deflection studies are presented. Finally few examples presented demonstrate well correlation with test data service experience.
