摘要: The central nervous system contains numerous proteases fulfilling a plethora of different functions such as activation, regulation and termination cellular reactions. Protease function is thereby determined by cell biological enzymological factors, e.g. subcellular localization substrate specificity leading to proteolytic balance between anabolic catabolic processes. In consequence, disturbances turnover might lead the accumulation peptide protein fragments important for development neurodegenerative disorders. To characterize in their contribution disease, enzymes involved generation clearance toxic peptides Alzheimer’s disease will be discussed. addition, proline-specific importance bioactivity CNS substrates are highlighted.
