摘要: Abstract A dimension stone prospect in southern central Finland was assessed by a detailed mapping, geo-radar survey, and core drilling. The is veined bedded garnet–cordierite gneiss, consisting of dark schistose medium-grained palaeosome light coarse-grained granitic leucosome. Both components are found mainly as thin units, but the leucosome can occur individual veins several metres thick, which leads to disturbing variations appearance stone. soundness defined amount tight, open cracks weakness zones weathered As whole, diminished down 10 m below outcrop surface. Furthermore, subhorizontal body younger granite identified at approx. 8–20 m depth. Consequently, not feasible for production drilling decisive final evaluation because true density subsurface were method. Only with use could proper interpretation characteristics be made, demonstrating importance three-dimensional investigation prospect.
