摘要: Granuloma annulare (Gan) and giant cell arteritis (GCA) share common histologic features. In Gan, a disease characterized by the presence of palisading granulomas usually in dermis, main alteration is elastic fiber degeneration it strongly suggests that primary target leading to development this disorder injury tissue. On other hand, (GCA), vasculitis involving large-and middle-sized blood vessels, features are disruption internal lamina nonsuppurative granulomatous infiltrate, which seems be focused around disintegrated fibers. Due this, these two conditions appear related. However, best our knowledge, only one case association generalized Gan GCA described literature. We herein report new patient previously diagnosed with biopsy-proven GCA. Both diseases were successfully treated oral prednisone. Although etiology remains still unknown, they seem immunologically mediated showing predominance T-cells inflammatory infiltrate.
