摘要: Collagen alignment has shown clinical significance in a variety of diseases. For instance, vulvar lichen sclerosus (VLS) is characterized by homogenization collagen fibers with increasing risk malignant transformation. To date, imaging techniques have been developed to visualize fibers. However, few works focused on quantifying the quality fiber. assess level disorder local fiber orientation, homogeneity index (HI) based limiting entropy proposed as an indicator disorder. Our methods are validated verification experiments Poly Lactic Acid (PLA) filament phantoms controlled A case study 20 VLS tissue biopsies and 14 normal shows that HI can effectively characterize from (P < 0.01). The classification results very promising sensitivity 93% specificity 95%, which indicated our method provide quantitative assessment for aid improving histopathological examination VLS.
